A small UK studio that builds high-performance websites and shoots the photography to match — all under one roof.
The Construx Group builds websites specifically for UK local businesses — the kind that have been trading for years on reputation alone and are finally ready to look the part online.
We're a small team. That's by design. It means you work with the people actually building your site, not an account manager who emails someone else. We keep a tight client list so the work stays good.
We don't just build the site — we shoot it too. Every project can include bespoke photography, created on location specifically for your website: your premises, your team, your products, your work. No stock libraries, no recycled images. It's a big part of why our sites don't look like everyone else's.
Our approach is straightforward: understand the business first, then design around what it actually needs. We don't sell bloated packages or stack on features for the sake of it. If a page and a contact form is what you need, that's what we'll build — and it'll be the best page and contact form you've ever had.
We price transparently and don't lock clients into long retainers unless they want them. Most of our clients come back because the work was good, not because they're contracted to.

The team
Two directors, one team.
The Construx Group is led by two people who cover the two things that make a website land: how it's built, and how it looks. Between them, they handle a project end to end.
Web Director
Lewis Wilson
Lewis leads everything you can click. Every site we ship is written by hand — no page builders, no off-the-shelf themes, no plugins bolted on to paper over the cracks. It is the slower way to build a website, and it is the reason ours load in a blink, score top marks on Google PageSpeed, and keep working long after launch.
He has been building on the web since well before it was a job, teaching himself to code as a teenager and never really stopping. What turned a hobby into The Construx Group was a frustration he could not shake: watching genuinely good local businesses — ones with years of reputation behind them — get handed slow, identical template sites that did them no justice at all.
His job is to make sure the engineering underneath is as good as the business it represents: fast, secure, built to last, and yours to keep.

Daniel Boyd
Daniel leads everything you can see. He shoots the bespoke photography that sets our sites apart — on location, in your premises, with your team, your products and your actual work — so nothing on your website is borrowed from a stock library or shared with a hundred other companies.
He came to the web from behind a camera, and it gave him a conviction that runs through everything we do: the reason most small-business websites feel generic is not the layout, it is the imagery. Anyone can license the same tired photo of a handshake. Almost no one turns up with a camera and captures the real thing.
On every project he handles the shoot end to end — planning it, lighting it, and editing it to sit perfectly inside the design. Pair a fast, well-built site with photography that could only be yours, and it finally looks like the business behind it.
